BUFFALO, N.Y.- Sweet Home overcomes a 21-7 deficit in the fourth quarter and beats Eastridge 28-21 in overtime to win the Class A Far West Regional.

Sweet Home trailed 21-14 with less than two minutes remaining the fourth quarter. The Panthers drove 87 yards for the touchdown to tie the game. Panthers coach John Faller told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar "they have a lot of confidence in themselves and that's why they're able to do something like that. "

In overtime the Lancers won the coin toss but deferred and the Panthers got the ball first. On 4th and goal from the 19 yard line quarterback# 10 quarterback Mike Torrillo hit a wide open # 2 Mike McCoy in the end zone for the touchdown.CoachFaller toldStuafter the game "we practiced that play all the time. We just haven't used in a game since the 2002 Sectionalgame against Grand Island."

The Panthers scored three straight touchdowns in the fourth quarter and overtime combined, including two TD runs from Jordan Evert inside the Lancers' 10 yard line.

Panthers quarterback Torrillo was 12 for 19 passing for 141 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Torrillo ran eight times for62 yards. Sophomore Jordan Evert # 16 ran 15 times for 37 yards and three touchdowns. Evert had touchdown runs of 5,4, and two yards. Senior Kahlil Humphrey, # 13 carried the ball 8 times for 46 yards. # 2 Mike McCoy another senior had two catches for 29 yards including the game winning touchdown. McCoy ran twice for 26 yards. Sophomore Brad Zaffram had 4 catches for 51 yards and ran three times for 20 yards. Senior Josh Roe # 33 had a monster game on defense.

Sweet Home advances to the state semi finals next weekend at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester. The Panthers will take on Union-Endicott from Section IV.
