BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bills have released veteran punter Brian Moorman, a team source told 2-On-Your-Side's Adam Benigni.

Jason LaConfora from CBS Sports broke the news on Tuesday afternoon.

Moorman has been with the Bills since 2001 and was named to two Pro Bowl teams (2005 & 2006) during his time with the Bills.

Moorman's production had dropped off in recent years and through three games in 2012, only two of his 15 punts ended up inside the 20 yard line.

Moorman is extremely active in the Western New York community through his PUNT Foundation. The organization works to improve the lives of local children who are battling cancer.
