RALEIGH, N.C. - The St. Bonaventure women lost to top seed Notre Dame 79-35in the Sweet 16. 2 on Your Side's Ben Hayeswas in Raleigh, read a recap of what happened in our game blog.

Bonnies will start their standard 5, Jenkins, Van Tatenhove, Horton, Ortega and Walker.

Notre Dame will start Skylar Diggins, Devereaux Peters, Natalie Novosel, Brittany Mallory, and Kayla McBride.

Bonnies and Notre Dame will tip-off at 2:32, the winner will play the Terps for a spot in the Final Four.

2:23: About 10 minutes to tip-off. Irish with long warmup still on court. Bonnies have been in locker room for last 5 minutes or so.

2:25: Bonnies said all day on Saturday theyfell no pressure here at the Sweet 16. Will be interesting to see how they play against Notre Dame.

One of Notre Dame's three losses this season was to West Virginia. A team the Bonnies beat early in November.

2:31: We are set for the opening tip

2:33: Irish start with a full-court press. Bonnies break it and get easy layup

2:39: Irish start off the game with an 13-2 run. Bonnies already with five turnovers against Notre Dame pressure

2:47: 13:18 to play in 1st half, Bonnies with 2 points, 8 turnovers and only five shots attempted

2:51:Bonnies still down 13-2 with 11:45 left in first half. Irish have not scored in four minutes. Bonnies without a point in 8

2:57: Ortega with nice drive for basket and foul. Bonnies with first points since opening minute. Down 17-5

3:00: Under 8 timeout. ND leads Bonnies 17-5. Bona with solid defense, forlast eight minutes its been a 4-3 game

3:08: Bonnies down 27-7 with 4:45 left in 1st half

3:11: With 2:52 to play in 1st half, Bonnies down 29-9. Ortega leads Bona with seven points. Bonnies have hit just 4-22 shots from the field.

3:19: Notre Dame leads 35-13 at the half. CeCe Dixon hit a three-pointer at the buzzer, first three of the game for Bonnies.

Halftime: Notre Dame 35 - St. Bonaventure 13

Bonnies get zero points from seniors Van Tatenhove and Jenkins in first half. As a team they shot just 19 percent and turned the ball over 15 times

3:34: Second half about to start

3:39: Irish start second half with 8-0 run to take a 43-13 lead

3:41: First media time-out of second half, Irish up 30. Bonnies still fighting hard on both ends, but Irish defense too tough

3:49: Irish up 53-17, their biggest lead of the game

3:50: Under 12 timeout, Notre Dame now up 57-17 and have outscored Bonnies 22-4 in second half

3:56: Van Tatenhove gets her first points of game with 10:26 to play

3:58: Dixon now tied with Ortega, both have nine points to lead Bonnies. Irish lead 64-23

4:06: Irish lead 66-26 with 5:33 to play, Bona fans disappointed, but still voicing strong support for their team

4:09: Irish lead 71-30 with 3:33 to play in game.

4:13: Bonnies seniors checking out of game with 3 min to play. Big ovation from Bona Fans

4:16: You can see some emotion from Jenkins on bench, held scoreless in final game
