ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y.- Western New York beer lovers probably recognize the letters "EBC" from taps at a lot of their favorite bars, but they might not know about the big operation that brings that brew to their glasses.
Besides serving up dozens of varieties of pilsners, stouts and ales, the Ellicottville Brewing Company has been feeding hungry skiers, hikers and others in the southern tier resort town for years.
And the restaurant just underwent a major expansion of both its dining and brewing enterprises.
The brewery now boasts a huge increase in bottle output, moving from what's described as a "hallway" to a huge room filled with massive silver tanks and a mechanical bottling machine (weekend tours of the new space are available and popular). And besides a huge new dining area and beer garden, the eating experience now features "family-style dining"- make a reservation for your group of ten or more and feed everyone for as low as $25 a person with no wait.
EBC will also be hosting renowned artist Michael Israel this coming artist- details on the event can be found here.
