For some children the simple act of having breakfast or lunch can actually be very difficult and isolating. Often there is more to it than simply being a "picky" or stubborn eater. These children may have underlying problems that are causing feeding and possibly swallowing issues. It's more than just a social or behavioral issue, these kids are at risk for a variety of health problems, but Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center can help!
Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center offers a specialized program for Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing. The program is available to children of all ages who have difficulty with feeding or swallowing. The evaluation and treatment for this program are completed by Speech-Language Pathologists who have specialized training in the areas of feeding and swallowing.
