BUFFALO, N.Y. - You might have driven past the English Pork Pie Company on South Park Avenue in South Buffalo dozens of times without knowing you were passing one of the biggest businesses for British ex-pats in the whole country.

Damian and Vicky Parker sell pork pies all over the U.S. from the factory on the old industrial site along the Buffalo River, as well as welcoming in lunch traffic from Western New Yorkers who are curious about just what a pork pie is- and who quickly get addicted.

For those not in the know, pork pies are a lot like chicken pot pies here in the U.S.- and they're not just pork either, though the sausage roll is a big hit here. You can also try other favorites like the steak and ale pie (in an ale gravy) and the chicken tikka pie (in a curry sauce).

The business is also branching out with the Pie Mad brand, bringing pies with American flavors (Buffalo chicken, Philly cheese steak, etc.) to freezer sections at Tops and other grocers around the region.
