Mark your calendars now and don't miss out! The Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo is the third largest Juneteenth celebration in the country. Enjoy a fun-filled weekend for the entire family Saturday, June 14th & June 15th at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Weekend festivities include the Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 14th at 11am, the parade proceeds down Genesee street into MLK Park. Throughout MLK Park visitors can enjoy live entertainment, Arts & Cultural presentations, Vendor's Market, Health Pavilion, Healing Garden, African Chalk Walk, Historical Exhibits a Science Fair, Underground Railroad Tours and more!

The Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo mission is to actively preserve and promote the broad spectrum of African American heritage through educational and cultural activities that will benefit the community as a whole. Festival information can be found at www.JuneteenthofBuffalo.com

Pre-Festival Events & Sankofa Days are a great way to take part in the celebration.

June 7th- "Git On Da Bus" - A bus journey to many sites in the city with storytelling by the Traditional Keepers at each site. Those interested in participating should plan on meeting at 3:30pm at the Juneteenth Festival Headquarters located at 1517 Genesee Street. The bus leaves at 4pm and returns at 7pm.
