LEWISTON, NY -- Rain at the Niagara Falls Country Club delayed play in the second round of the Porter Cup golf tournament for nearly three hours Thursday afternoon.
When play resumed and the round was finished, the leader board had a new look to it. Brandon Wu from Scarsdale New York has a one shot lead over three others after shooting a four under par 66 in the second round. Wu was two under on day one.
Three players are tied for second place at 5 under par. Cristian DiMarco, Christopher Petefish, and Travis Smythe are all within one shot of the leader. DiMarco shot a 5 under 65 while Petefish and Smythe each shot one under 69's for the day.
Gavin Hall from Pittsford, New York, who has come so close to winning the past two years, shot a 3 under 67 to put himself two shots behind the leader. Defending champion Harrison Endycott shot a one over 71 and is 3 shots behind the leader.
Round 3 of the 59th annual Porter Cup is scheduled to get underway early Friday morning.
