ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins says he will play in the home opener on Thursday despite dealing with an injured foot.
Earlier on Monday, head Coach Rex Ryan said he was not sure if Watkins would be able to play on Thursday.
"I'm definitely going to be out there playing," Watkins told Two On Your Side's Jonah Javad. "I'm just trying to get prepared for this week and go up against a great defense."
Watkins complained of soreness in his surgically repaired left foot following a 13-7 season-opening loss at Baltimore on Sunday.
Ryan said he is not sure if left tackle Cordy Glenn will be able to play against the Jets.
Glenn didn't return after he hurt the same left ankle that forced him to miss three weeks of training camp.
The injuries represent a potential blow to a team that managed 160 yards against Baltimore - Buffalo's fewest in a decade.
