Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Jonathan Quick made 27 saves for his first
shutout of the season as the Los Angeles Kings took a 4-0 win over the Phoenix
Coyotes in the first of two games from Staples Center.
Anze Kopitar, Tyler Toffoli and Jeff Carter each posted a goal and an assist
for the Kings, who have won two straight and four of six. Jake Muzzin also
scored in the win.
Mike Smith gave up four goals on 22 shots for the Coyotes, who have been held
scoreless during a three-game losing streak. Jason LaBarbera played the final
12 1/2 minutes and stopped all seven shots he faced.
These two teams will meet again in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
