Colts place franchise tag on P McAfee

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - The Indianapolis Colts have placed the franchise tag on punter Pat McAfee.

McAfee set a franchise single season record for punting average (48.2) and tied the mark for punts inside the 20-yard line (26) in 2012.

Since being selected by the Colts in the seventh round of the 2009 draft, the West Virginia product has totaled 290 punts for a franchise record 45.5-yard average.
