Eden Prairie, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Vikings signed linebacker
Marvin Mitchell and cornerback Chris Carr, both free agents.
Terms of the signings, announced Tuesday, were not disclosed.
Mitchell spent last season with the Miami Dolphins after playing his first
four years for the New Orleans Saints. He had 30 tackles and one interception
in 16 games as a backup.
Carr played the last three seasons for the Baltimore Ravens. The seven-year
veteran made 19 tackles in nine games, including one start. His first career
interception, with the Oakland Raiders in 2006, was returned 100 yards for a
touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
