Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Toronto Raptors forward Rudy Gay will play in
Monday's game against Golden State after sitting out the team's previous
contest with back spasms.
Gay participated in Monday's morning shootaround without any complications and
has subsequently been cleared for game action.
The seventh-year pro has averaged a team-best 20.5 points per game since
joining the Raptors in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 30. Toronto
has gone 7-7 since acquiring Gay, though the club is presently mired in a
four-game losing streak.
The Raptors also announced that forward Andrea Bargnani will be a game-time
decision for Monday's tilt after the former No. 1 overall pick had a bad
reaction to medication he had been taking.
