Ontario, CA (Sports Network) - Damian Lillard posted 14 points, seven assists
and five rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers took down the Los Angeles
Lakers, 93-75.
LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points and eight rebounds while Nicolas Batum added
12 points for the Trail Blazers, who opened their preseason. Lillard, the
sixth pick in the 2012 draft, shot 6-for-11 in his first game.
Steve Nash scored 13 points, Metta World Peace added 12 points and Devin
Ebanks posted 10 points for the Lakers, who have dropped both of their
preseason games thus far.
Los Angeles' Kobe Bryant was a late scratch due to a right shoulder strain.
The game was tied after 24 minutes of play, but Portland took over in the
second half as the team scored 29 points in the third quarter and 20 in the
fourth while limiting Los Angeles to just 31 points.
