Maurice Howie to Become Legend in WNY High School Football

For the 2012 season, South Park's Maurice Howie, quarterback, completed 145 passes in 213 attempts for 2041 yards and 23 touchdowns. The junior also rushed for 469 yards and 5 touchdowns. Defensively he recorded 53 tackles and 2 interceptions. The 2041 yards passing in a season was the 13th best in WNY high school football. Howie also became only the 14th quarterback to pass for 2000 yards in a season.

For his career, Howie has completed 324 of 522 passes for 4518 yards and 47 touchdowns, while rushing for 1121 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The junior is now in 8th place for the most touchdown passes in a season. He is in 4th place for the most passes completed in a career and is in 4th place for the most yards passing in a career. He is in 5th place for the most yards passing in a career. If Maurice passes for 1000 yards next season, he will become the first WNY quarterback to pass for 1000 yards in 4 consecutive seasons.
