Sabres forward Ryan O'Reilly has been added to Team Canada's roster for the World Cup that gets underway Saturday in Toronto.
The NHL announced Tuesday night that O'Reilly will replace Tyler Seguin of the Dallas Stars. Seguin reportedly suffered a knee injury in pre-tournament play that will prevent him from taking part.
O'Reilly had 21 goals and 39 assists for the Sabres this past season.
Canada will face Russia in its final exhibition game Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.
Team Canada opens World Cup play against the Czech Republic Saturday. All World Cup games will be played at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
