Sabres Try to Stay Positive

BUFFALO, N.Y.-Its been a long tough season so far for the Buffalo Sabres. They are dead last in the NHL with a meager 14 points earned in 30 games. Its tough to stay positive but the Sabres know they simply can't stay down forever. Cody Hodgson said, "You can't stay down the entire year. Obviously if we're going to get out of this thing we need to stay positive and make sure we playing the best we can and you can't do that when you're always mad or negative so we have to stick together and come of this as a team."

Saturday night in Montreal Zemgus Girgensons scored a beautiful goal. Girgensons said, "Its always nice to get a goal and it turned out to be a pretty nice one so its just a goal. Probably the best confidence booster for all of us would be a win but its definitely nice to get a goal and the whole team is struggling with them so its nice to get one." Its the first goal Girgensons has scored since opening night in Detroit. Sabres head coach Ted Nolan said, "You try to teach different people different things but one thing about Zemgus is that you can't teach him is how to work. He competes on a daily basis. and its great to see him get rewarded for his work lately."

The Sabres are home Tuesday against Ottawa. its the first of a home and home series with the Senators. Face off at the First Niagara Center is scheduled for 7-pm.
