BUFFALO, NY --Sabres' forward Evander Kane is back in the lineup tonight for the first time since leaving the season opener with a rib injury.
"It's heeled enough to where I can play and come back. I'm sure there will be a little bit of pain throughout the course of the next couple weeks but it's nothing I haven't dealt with before," Kane said after Wednesday's morning skate.
While Kane said he is playing Wednesday against the Senators, the same is not certain for Ryan O'Reilly. Head coach Dan Bylsma said O'Reilly is a game-time decision but would not specify what the injury is.
Another injury note: Tyler Ennis will not play on Wednesday with what Bylsma called a "mid-body" injury. Right now, there's no timetable for Ennis' return or details on the extend of his injury.
"We're really still in the evaluation on exactly what it is," Bylsma said.
Face-off between the Sabres and Senators is at 7:30 p.m. at KeyBank Center.
