Watkins injures shoulder in OTAs

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.- The Buffalo Bills finished their second week of OTAs on Thursday, but their 1st Round pick was unable to finish practice.

Wide receiver Sammy Watkins, the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, "dinged up" his shoulder during team drills.

Watkins told Channel 2's Jonah Javad that "it's nothing serious" and he "could have went out there and practiced but that was coach's decision."

Watkins said it's not separated or broken, and he does not expect to miss any time. Watkins added he'll be back Friday to workout.

The Bills missed Watkins' presence on the field. Thursday was the ugliest practice yet, as there were multiple miscommunications between EJ Manuel and the receivers. Even veterans like running back Fred Jackson dropped routine passes.

The team gets the weekend off before resuming OTAs on Monday.
