Six things to know about new Bills cornerback E.J. Gaines

Here are six things to know about new Buffalo Bills cornerback E.J. Gaines:

1. Gaines stands 5-feet-10, weighs 185 pounds and is 25 years old.

2. Considered one of the steals of the 2014 draft, Gaines was taken with the 12th pick in the sixth round (188th overall) by the then-St. Louis Rams.

3. Gaines, who attended the University of Missouri, missed all of the 2015 season with a foot injury.

4. Gaines stepped into the starting lineup as a rookie after Trumaine Johnson went down with an injury. He started 15 games, made 70 tackles and two interceptions and earned a spot on the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team.

5. Gaines has 126 tackles, 110 solo, in his 26 career games. He also missed five games in 2016.

6. Gaines was involved in a couple of skirmishes earlier this week, including one with former Bills defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman when the Rams and Chargers got physical in a combined training camp practice.
