PITTSFORD, NY - A year ago at this time, Shaq Lawson was recovering from shoulder surgery he had just a month after the Buffalo Bills drafted him. That was during the Doug Whaley/Rex Ryan era.
Lawson didn't see the field until week seven last season and didn't live up to the high expectations. Maybe because he didn't fit the scheme he was playing in.
"It was kind of odd because I knew I wasn’t fit for that defense. They thought I was and I just tried it out and I wasn’t very comfortable," Lawson said.
This year, he'll play in Sean McDermott's 4-3 defense, something Lawson has done before.
"This year I’m just excited because its something I do, been doing, its what we did at Clemson, the defense, same scheme same everything," Lawson explained.
