PITTSFORD, NY - On day one of Buffalo Bills training camp, all eyes were on wide receiver Sammy Watkins. He was finally a full participant for the first time since undergoing offseason foot surgery.
"My job is to trust the training staff and I'm glad I did my surgery. Now I just feel like I have to go out there and have the confidence in myself and the staff and go out there and play," Waktins said after practice on Thursday.
Watkins was limited this spring in OTA's and mini-camp but to start camp, he went through warm ups, individual and team drills. Head coach Sean McDermott said they're going to monitor his reps, but so far it seems, so good.
"We've put together a rep count that will build up and at times come down a little bit just based off the plan," McDermott said before practice on Thursday.
The Bills continue training camp on Friday at 2:15 p.m.
