Five New Bills Coaches Introduced

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.-When Mike Pettine was hired as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns a number of other coach's on Doug Marrone's staff followed him to Cleveland.

Tuesday at One Bills Drive the Bills introduced the five newest members of Marrone's staff.

They are quarterbacks coach Todd Downing. Downing helped Matthew Stafford become the Detroint Lions franchise passing leader. Downing has worked with Thad Lewis who was with the Lions and he worked with starting quarterback EJ Manuel during the 2013 Senior Bowl. Downing said its a huge off season for Manuel who had an uneven rookie season." That first off season is an opportunity for a quarterback to take a deep breath and say OK this is where I need to get better, these are the things I need to imrpove on and it also kind of slows everything down for 'em. He could get away with some things in college that you can't get away with in the pros. Coverages look different formations can look different. Just having that off season to be able to look at your tape and evaluate yourself on tape its going to be huge."

The other new coaches are Senior Offensive Assistant Jim Hostler, Defensive line coach Pepper Johnson, wide receivers coach Rob Moore and linebackers coach Fred Pagac.
