Outstanding Performances After Week 1

Dick Gallagher presents his outstanding high school football performances after week 1 of the regular season: 

 

Jason Jaskolka, Hamburg – SR RB rushed for 163 yds and 3 tds in the Bulldogs win over West Seneca West.

Isaiah McDuffie, Bennett – SR RB/LB rushed for 129 yds 4 TDs, recorded 11 tackles and recovered a fumble in the Tiger win over West Seneca East.

Jason Hwang, Williamsville North – SR QB passed for 139 yds, 2 tds and rushed for 110 yds and 2 tds in the Spartan victory over Jamestown.

Matt Boss, East Aurora/ Holland – SR QB passed for 149 yds and 3 tds in the Blue Devils win over Lackawanna.

Tyler White, Kenmore West – SR DL recorded 10 tackles and 3 sacks in the Blue Devils win over Riverside.

Brandon Yax, Iroquois – SR RB rushed for 187 yds and 3 tds in the Chiefs win over Lake Shore.

Jake Cotter, Medina – SR RB rushed for 156 yds and 4 tds in the Mustangs win over Barker/ Roy Hart.

Casey Kelly, St Joes – Soph QB passed for 129 yds. Rushed for 55 yds and a TD and converted a 2pt pass to lead the Marauders past South Park.

Ian Baker, Springville SR RB rushed for 248 yds, scored 6 tds and recorded 8 tackles in the Griffins win over Fredonia/ WB.

Dillon Janca, Orchard Park – SR QB completed 20 of 35 passes for 236 yds and one TD in the Quakers loss to Pittsford.

Cam Slonko, Grand Island – Soph QB passed for 208 yds and 3 TDs in the Vikings win over Niagara Wheatfield.

Joe Torrillo, Sweet Home – JR QB passed for 231 yds and 2 tds in the Panthers win over Kenmore East.

Tom Rivera, Sweet Home – JR RB rushed for 175 yds and 3 ts in the Panthers victory over the Bulldogs.

Jake Putney, Clarence – Soph QB passed for 247 yds and 3 tds in the Red Devils win over Frontier.

Jaden Lofton, St Joes – RB rushed for 90 yds, 2 tds and recorded 3 tackles on defense in the Marauders win over South Park.

 

Rashad Law, Maryvale – LB recorded 13 tackles including 4 loses in the Flyers victory over Cleveland.
