How do you prepare for a game?
Long nights of video and to try to get everything done before game day so my mind is clear.
Why did you enter the coaching field?
I was inspired by my coaches, especially in high school. I realized it was a way to stay connected to football.
What brings you the most satisfaction in coaching?
Little things like personal fulfillment for a kid or seeing a player work hard with great attitude. The big things are too stressful!
What do you expect from a player?
100 percent effort, team first attitude, and work in the off season.
How much longer do you plan to coach?
As long as it is enjoyable and worth taking time away from my family.
What was the best team you have coached?
Last year’s team was pretty good!
Who was your mentor?
I’ve been pretty lucky. I’ve coached under some legends: George Whitcher, Rich Morton, Gary Swetland, and now Tim Bergan.
