Trojans in Jehuu Caulcricks first year recorded an 8-2 mark and lost in the sectional championship to Cleveland Hill. Return All-WNY candidate in JR QB Cole Snyder. Other key players include Alex Card, Brian Burns, Chris Quinn, Luke Heil, Faizon Munir and Jake Hnastyzn. Will challenge for league and sectional titles. First 2 games are at Chautauqua Lake and Silver Creek/Forestville. Offense was explosive in 2016 scoring 320 pts. Key to season will be play of line.

SILVER CREEK/FORESTVILLE BLACK KNIGHTS

Black Knights had an excellent season in 2016 with a 6-2 record. Moved up to Class C South for this season. Sean Helmer does an excellent job and has a record of 63-36-0 in 11 yrs. Key players include Austin Eggleston, Macadam Gadewaltz, Chandler Eggleston, and Luke Szumigala. Open with Wilson and Southwestern. Eggleston is a candidate for 1,000 yards rushing. Key to season will be play of QB. Will be in playoffs.

ALLEGANY/LIMESTONE GATORS

Gators disappointed in 2016 but should improve this season. Key players for Paul Furlong squad include Pat Walsh, Logan Klice, Jake Giardini, Tom Moran, and Jake Lipperi. Return 7 starters on offense and 8 on defense. Open with Olean and Portville first 2 games. Key to season will be to put points on board and play of line.

GOWANDA/PINE VALLEY PANTHERS

Panthers had an excellent season last year compiling 6 wins, making playoffs and achieving honors for Kameron Alexander and Gilberto Ortiz. Sean Gable only had 20 on his roster last season and 11 graduated. Key players include Robbie Chadwick, Jiyah Mentley-Peters, Andrew Musacchio, Caleb Maloney, and Adam Sisti. Have tough matchup in Week 1 at Maple Grove. Keys to season will be play of QB and line. Jayvees recorded a 7-1 mark in 2016 and talent will help Panthers team this season.

Cassadaga Valley/Falconer Golden Cougars

Golden Cougars look to improve on last year’s 3 wins. Key players include Robbie Penhollow, Connor Crabtree, Daniel Torres, Adam Goot and Chris Dutton.Only graduated 6 players with 20 returning to this year’s team. Open with CSP (at Panama) and Gowanda/PV defense allowed 252 pts in 2016. Key to season will be to put points on board.
