James Hardy's death ruled suicide by drowning

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA-- The death of a former Buffalo Bills receiver in Indiana has now been ruled a suicide.

The Allen County coroner says James Hardy drowned himself in a river in Fort Wayne where his body was found in early June.  His family reported him missing a few weeks before his body was found.

Hardy played for the Bills from 2008 to 2010. He was 31 years old.
