UB Football inks 21 to '14 Signing Class

AMHERST, N.Y.- On National Signing Day, head coach Jeff Quinn and the University at Buffalo football program added 21 players to their 2014 Signing Class.

"This class is balanced but heavy in the offensive line and defensive line, which we needed to address, and we did that in this class along with the big skill positions, linebacker in particular," Quinn told WGRZ's Jonah Javad. "There's a good mix, a good blend and certainly all of them we'll have a chance to contribute early because I don't redshirt until after their first year."

Quinn recruits a particular pedigree. He looks for young men with a strong work ethic who demonstrate a desire to achieve off the field as well as on it. Quinn told Javad the majority of the '14 recruitment class have other talents and achievements to their name outside of football. Those are the type of high-character, high-performance guys he wants on the team.

The 21-person class is the largest for Quinn, since arrived at UB five years ago. The list includes four players from the state of New York.
