Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Otto Porter Jr. poured in a game-high 28
points and grabbed six rebounds to help No. 7 Georgetown earn its 11th
straight win with a 64-51 triumph over Rutgers on Saturday at Verizon Center.
Porter connected on just 6-of-12 from the floor, but knocked down 15-of-18
free throws to pace the Hoyas (23-4, 13-3 Big East), who received nine points
apiece from Markel Starks and D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera.
With the win, Georgetown clinched a double-bye in next week's Big East
tournament and maintained its one-game lead over Louisville and Marquette atop
the conference.
Wally Judge led Rutgers (13-14, 4-12) with 11 points, while Myles Mack, Jerome
Seagears and Dane Miller each scored nine for the Scarlet Knights, who have
lost four straight games.
