Tuscaloosa, AL (Sports Network) - Trevor Releford scored a game-high 18 points
as the Alabama Crimson Tide cruised by the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 65-45, at
Coleman Coliseum.
Releford was 8-of-12 from the floor including two 3-pointers in the Alabama
(8-5) victory. Levi Randolph scored 15 and Rodney Cooper scored 11, snapping a
two-game losing streak for the Crimson Tide.
For the Golden Grizzlies (7-10), Duke Mondy scored a team-high 11 points. Matt
Poches and Travis Bader recorded 10 points a piece, snapping a two-game win
streak for Oakland.
Alabama shot 54.2 percent from the floor while limiting Oakland to a mere 7-
of-30 (.233) as Alabama took a 29-23 advantage at the half.
Oakland continued to struggle shooting making only 9-of-29 (.310) from the
floor in the second half. Alabama shot 50 percent from the floor including
4-of-9 from long range to clinch the 20-point win in the second.
The Crimson Tide made 25-of-48 (.521) from the floor while limiting the Golden
Grizzlies to a meager 16-of-59 (.271) shooting on the day.
