Buffalo Prepares to Host NWHL All-Star Game

Buffalo Hosts NWHL All-Star Game

BUFFALO, NY - HARBORCENTER and the Buffalo Beauts prepare to host the inaugural NWHL All-Star Game. The day starts with a skills competition at 2 followed by two periods of 4-on-4 hockey.

This year's captains feature Beauts defenseman and Getzville native Emily Pfalzer and two-time Olympic silver medalist Hilary Knight of the Boston Pride. The teams met downtown for media day on Saturday.

"It's amazing to believe that January 1st 2015 this league didn't exist and December 31st we were at Gillette Stadium and now January 24th we're having our inaugural all star game so it's just been an amazing year for women's hockey," NWHL commissioner Dani Rylan said.

It all gets underway at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 24th at HARBORCENTER.
