PITTSFORD, NY- Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy just turned 29 - an age when many running backs call it quits. But, McCoy is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, he thinks he can play until he's at least 33.
"I feel good," McCoy said, after day two of Bills training camp. "I feel the same. I feel about 25. Making the same runs, same cuts. I feel good. I feel explosive. That's my game."
"Certainly, he's got great ball skills," acknowledged Bills offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. "He runs good routes. He knows where to be. Every time we've taught him a route, he picks it up and does it fast. He's like a sponge. He's trying to learn everything we're trying to do."
"I mean, [Dennison's] running scheme is amazing," added McCoy. "I'm a confident player, so I'll tell you I can run in anything, but this scheme really fits me."
There are question marks behind McCoy at running back, after Mike Gillislee joined the Patriots in the offseason.
The Bills need McCoy to have another big year, and that means staying healthy, too.
