Jamestown Jammers moving to West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, WV- While many Western New Yorkers fight to keep the Bills in Buffalo, another local pro team is moving south.

Team officials announced Monday the Jamestown Jammers will relocate to Morgantown, West Virginia after this season.

The team ranks last in the in the A New York-Penn League in attendance, drawing an average of 751 fans to home games.

As part of the move to Morgantown, the Jammers will play in a new stadium. Currently the team plays in Russell Diethrick Junior Park, which was built in 1941.

The Jamestown Jammers are owned by Bob and Mindy Rich, who also own the Buffalo Bisons.
