TAMPA, FLA-Former Grover Cleveland High School star Steven Means  has taken another step in his journey toward a long successful career in the National Football League.

Means was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of last month's NFL Draft. Today the man who also starred at the University at Buffalo signed his first professional contract.

Means signed a four-year deals as will every Buccaneer rookie this season per NFL CBA rules. First-round picks have an additional fifth-year team option, but the Bucs did not have a first-round draft pick this year.

Reports are that Means will sign a contract for  $2.35 million  with a signing bonus of approximately a $190,000.

Means joins the Bucs with high hopes after his pass-rush success in college. Means had 18.5 sacks and 29.5 tackles for losses in his career.
