BUFFALO, N.Y.-Canisius beat Nazareth out of New York City 64 to 54 Saturday afternoon at Canisius to win the annual Tom Keenan Classic.

A pair of seniors led the way for the Crusaders. Adam Weir # 25 was named the tournament Most Valuable Player. He finished Saturday's game with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Matt MacDonald # 33 had 22 points and eight rebounds for Canisius.

Crusaders head coach Kyle Husband said "defense was the key. Team defense. We rebounded well too but we stress defense and that's the key for us."

The Crusaders outscored Nazareth 18-6 in the third quarter.
