LANCASTER, N.Y.-Jamestown used an 11-0 run to end the third quarter to help defeat St. Joe's Tuesday night in the MMAA ECIC Challenge played at St. Mary's of Lancaster.

Senior #1 Tommy Campion led the way for Jamestown with a career high 31 points including eight in the final two minutes of the third quarter. Campion is the only senior on the Jamestown roster. Sophomore #11 Zack Panebianco was the only other double figure scorer for Jamestown with 13 points. Jamestown improves to 2-0 on the season and will go for their third straight win Friday night at Orchard Park.

For St. Joe's senior # 30 Louis Oliveri led the way with 15 points.

Jamestown head coach Ben Drake told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar"It was a great early season matchup for us. Its a great event to be part of with all the good games in it. Its the kind of game you want o play early in the season to find out where we're at."

Stu asked Drake where he thought his team is after winning their second straight game to start the season. "I was proud of the way we battled through some adversity. We got off to a good start. St. Joe's made some adjustments that took us out of our game but we responded well in the third quarter. "

Drake said that "Campion played great tonight. When we were struggling to score we were finally able to him the ball and he came through for us."

St. Joe's head coach Mark Simon told Stu "it was kind of an ugly start. Jamestown jumped on us early and we were fortunate to be down just one at halftime. It was a grinders game. Every time we fell behind we came back. They made plays and we didn't. Tommy Campion is a great player. He definitely was the difference tonight."
