Depew 21-Lancaster 13

LANCASTER, N.Y.-Depew now owns a three game winning streak against arch rival Lancaster. The Wildcats with a 21-13 win at Lancaster Friday night.

The Redskins got off to a great start when # 21 Mike Curran returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown. Depew answered with a 75 yard touchdown run by Brian Rybak. Lancaster went up 13-7 on a Kevin Colafranceschi to Matt Szymanski but Depew rallied to take the lead on the final play of the half. Quarterback Anthony Buono called his own number and ran it for Depew from the three yard line and the Wildcats led 14-13 at halftime.  

The game wasn't decided until late in the fourth quarter when Depew's # 27 Rodney Turner scored on a 21 yard run with 1:43 to go in the game. Depew's defense then held on for the win.

"We knew we had to play 48 minutes and we rose to the occasion," said Depew Head Coach Brian Wilson.
