LANCASTER, N.Y.-There's nothing like closing out your regular season against your biggest rival. That's what will happen Friday night at Lancaster as the Redskins host Depew with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 pm.

Its been a tough year for the Redskins. They are 1-5 and have lost a number of games in the fourth quarter. Depew is 5-1 and has won the last two games in the series that dates all the way back to 1919.

Lancaster head coach Chris Dickson told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar that a win over Depew in the regular season finale "would mean everything. Its well documented that we've had our struggles this season. Our record shows that we're a 1-and-5 team but I strong believe that we're a much better team than our record indicates and winning against Depew would mean a world to these seniors and a world to me because these guys deserve a win. They've been working really hard and have had a great attitude all season long."

For the Lancaster seniors a win against Depew will take some of the sting out of what's been a frustrating season. Senior linebacker Hayden Schonert told Stu "it would make a lot of the hurt go away. Every game we've lost has been close. We've been it and then in the fourth quarter its just slipped away from us. Beating Depew would honestly bring it back to a good season. Years from now people aren't going to ask how'd you do they're going to ask did you beat Depew ?" Senior Hunter Bell added "it would just top it all off knowing that you'll never play at this stadium again.  If you get that "w" against Depew it means everything for your senior year."

Depew brings a 5-1 record into the game. The Wildcats only loss coming against Alden. Dickson told Stu "they're big up front and they run the ball well. Rodney Turner is a very tough runner. He's low to the ground and he's powerful so we need to wrap him up and we need to be able to shed the blocks of the big offensive line."

Its the first time both schools have new head coaches, Dickson in Lancaster and Brian Wilson at Depew. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 at Lancaster.
