Bills receiver Stevie Johnson is preparing to once again, face one of the NFL's top cornerbacks in the Jets Darrelle Revis.
The Bills lost both games to New York last season, but Johnson had success against Revis with 11 catches for 159 yards and a touchdown in the two games.
Johnson spoke with NBC Sports Network on the subject on Tuesday.
"It's the competition. I love it. With him being arguably one of the best cornerbacks in the league, I feel like it's an opportunity to put myself out there and let the world know that Stevie Johnson is a player in this league. It's just a competition thing. I've been fortunate enough to get a few passes on him and I'm working to get the 'W' though.. That's what counts most."
Johnson also had a key drop late in the second match-up and one of two excessive celebration penalties that ultimately led to his benching during the season finale at New England. Johnson says he doesn't want to do things to hurt the team moving forward.
The Bills face the Jets in the season opener Sunday at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
