ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback, Jim Kelly, continues to have an impact on the football world years after retiring from the game.  On Sunday night, Kelly kicked off the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Jim Kelly Football Camp with the camp's opening ceremonies.

Despite all of his major on-the-field accomplishments, Kelly says that the Jim Kelly Football Camp is one of his proudest achievements in his exceptional career.  Kelly says there is no reason that the camp can't continue for years to come. "As long as you feel good about it and as long as the kids are coming and learning and they're having fun, I'll do it until I'm 60 or 70 years old," Kelly said.

While the camp offers kids from ages 8-18 the opportunity to learn the X's and O's of football from Kelly himself, Kelly says that in today's world, it is important to make sure the kids know how to behave off of the field.  "For the seniors, we pretty much get them prepared for life because once they graduate from high school, they get into the world and now they're on their own," Kelly said.

Kelly says he wants all campers to leave the camp with the understanding that hard work pays off in the future.  "As long as you put your heart and soul into it and your mind and you work at it, anything is possible," Kelly said.

While 25 years is an incredible accomplishment, Kelly says he is aware of other camps that have been around for a lot longer.  "I talked to Joe Namath and I think he said 42 or 43 years he's been doing his camp," Kelly said.

Since the camp's first year in 1988, Kelly has had an impact on over 10,000 kids that have gone through his fun and motivational program.

When asked about his perception on the Bills going into this season, Kelly says he has high expectations just like the rest of Bills nation.  "I'm Excited.  I'm saying this from the heart, I am really excited about this year," Kelly said.

The 25th Jim Kelly Football Camp is a non-contact camp that will run from June 24-28.
