Olean, NY (Sports Network) - Ramone Moore scored 19 points, as Temple maintained sole possession of first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference with a 76-70 win over St. Bonaventure.
Khalif Wyatt had 17 points, Juan Fernandez 16 and Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson 11 to go with eight rebounds for the Owls (20-5, 9-2 A-10), who won their ninth straight game. Their last loss came at Richmond on January 14. Micheal Eric pulled down 11 rebounds in the win.
Andrew Nicholson had 19 points and Eric Mosley 18 for the Bonnies (13-10, 6-5), who lost for the third time in four games.
Temple owns an overwhelming 53-6 lead in the all-time series and has won each of the last 15 meetings. The Owls have captured eight straight at the Reilly Center in that time with the Bonnies' last victory in the series coming in January 2000.
St. Bonaventure held tough in this game, as the Bonnies held a 31-30 lead at the half and then got a Nicholson jumper to start the second half.
The Owls finally took control by scoring 10 in a row. Wyatt and Moore each hit three-pointers during the run, which ended on a T.J. DiLeo bucket for a 55-43 lead with nearly eight minutes left.
The Bonnies made one last push, getting within 72-69 inside the final half- minute thanks to a tip-in by Demetrius Conger, but Moore made four free throws to close out the victory.
