ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - The 'whiteout' at Ralph Wilson Stadium was a washout for the Bills offense. 

"For whatever reason we couldn't get that start, couldn't get going," said Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The Bills couldn't start or finish against Rex Ryan's Jets defense.  Fitzpatrick finished the day just 15-of-31 passing for 191 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. 

"We did not have an offensive rhythm today. We get a couple things going and then it would fizzle out," said Bills head coach Chan Gailey.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan watched his defense hold the Bills to just 287 total yards, their second lowest total this season. "They spread us out to run the ball, and they do different things, but our personnel, I think the back end did a tremendous job. And we're a team - they feed off each other. It was just a great team effort," said Ryan. 

Buffalo struggled right from the start, finishing the first half with just 73 total yards, three first downs and two turnovers. 

"We didn't show up how we usually do. When it started off in the first half we were three-and-out, three-and-out, three-and-out. We can't do that against a team like that," said Bills receiver Stevie Johnson.

The Bills have been able to rally from slow starts on offense this season, but they were unable to solve the Jets defense on Sunday. 

"We thought we had the answers and we just never got it going," said Bills center Eric Wood.  "We've done that at times, we've come out slow and we've always got it going. Today, we just didn't."

"If it was one thing, we could have solved that," said Gailey,  "They would bring pressure, they would play coverage. We'd throw one just outside the reach one time or we'd drop one or they would give us something we hadn't seen or they would bring an extra guy. It was a combination. They kept us off balance."

As a result the Bills finished with a season low 11 points, well below their season average of 27.8.  Buffalo also had a season high three turnovers, including the first fumble of the year by running back Fred Jackson. 

"I feel like it was more stuff we did to ourselves," said Jackson.  "Not to take anything away from New York, they had a great game plan for us. They came out and executed well and we didn't."

The Bills will look to regroup next Sunday in Dallas against the Cowboys.  Buffalo may see some similar looks from the Dallas defense.  The Cowboys defensive coordinator is Rob Ryan, the brother of Jets head coach Rex Ryan.
