NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A major hurdle was cleared Monday night in the construction of the Niagara Falls Intermodal Transportation Center.
By a vote of 5-0, the Niagara Falls City Council unanimously agreed to approve the train station's project labor agreement as well as four other items related to construction of the rail station.
The city has already completed two phases of construction which included demolition of old railroad bridges and elevating the new bridge structure.
With the vote, the building phase now goes out to bid and proposed contracts should be presented to the council in July.
