LOCKPORT, N.Y. -- A Niagara County man who struck and killed a mom as she and her young son crossed a street is headed to prison.
Francis Maikranz was sentenced to one and 1/3 to four years behind bars for leaving the scene of a deadly accident and for injuring the child.
The accident happened last summer on Hyde Park Boulevard.
