BUFFALO, NY - A man was taken to an area hospital after a shooting at the intersection of Congress Street and West Delavan Avenue.
The shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Buffalo Police tell us the man was walking with others when the suspect approached and shot the man in the leg. He then made his way to a home along the 100 block on Congress Street before being taken to ECMC to be treated.
Witnesses say that the shooter got away on foot. A motive is not known this morning.
2 on Your Side witnessed officers recovering a machete from the scene, but it's not clear at this time if it was involved.
The injury to the victim does not appear to be life-threatening.
