BUFFALO, NY - Two men are facing larceny charges after they were caught with copper gutters during an overnight traffic stop.
The copper gutters were discovered in the backseat of a car around 3:00 Friday morning near the intersection of Parker Avenue and Taunton Place.
The two men, 46-year-old Arthur Wagner of Buffalo and 36-year-old James Allard of Amherst, were detained while officers looked at nearby church for missing gutters. Both are charged with petit larceny, trespassing, criminal mischief, and posession of a controlled substance.
D-District officers found footprints and missing gutters from Central Park United Methodist Church at the intersection of Beard and Morris Avenues.
A shoe print from one of the suspects matched that of a footprint in the snow and the two men were linked to the alleged theft.
