SALAMANCA, N.Y. - A female officer is injured after her patrol car slid on ice and collided head-on with a tractor trailer.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office says the officer was in the process of stopping at a stop sign shortly before noon on Parkway Drive when her patrol car slid on the ice and collided head-on with a tractor trailer on the Clinton Street bridge.

The officer has minor injuries and is expected to be alright.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the crash.
