BUFFALO, NY - Move over Chippewa, Allentown, and Elmwood Village-there's a new hotspot in the city, and its name is Black Rock.

There are several little shops and dining options in the up-and-coming area, but one bar and live music venue in particular is getting special recognition by Visit Buffalo Niagara's newest addition to its ongoing "Buffalo.ForRealTV" webisode series.

The Sportsmen's Tavern, the self-acclaimed "Honkiest Tonkiest Beer Joint in Town" has been a part of the Black Rock community since 1985. Since its opening, owner and operator Dwane Hall has hosted some of the best rock, blues, country, singer-songwriter and jazz acts in the country.

Some bands that have been featured at The Sportsmen's Tavern include Asleep at the Wheel, Poco, and The Derailers, just to name a few.

The video, which can be found on YouTube, is hosted by Buffalo rocker and raconteur, Nelson Starr. Starr focuses on the Tavern and its musical history, in hopes of bringing more people to the legendary Black Rock venue.

Other "Buffalo.ForRealTV" webisodes have covered the Buffalo beer scene, the Erie Canal Harbor, Alltentown First Fridays, Buffalo Bills tailgating and Vidler's 5 & 10.
