Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf retires

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf is retiring, effective immediately, in the wake of a scandal over the bank's sales practices.

Tim Sloan, the company's current president and chief operating officer, will succeed him as CEO.
