A drinking - or exercising - game for the final Trump/Clinton debate

This is it. Your last chance to play a presidential debate night drinking game until the 2020 primary campaign. So, open those bar tabs and get those Uber apps ready, because it's time to raise our glasses for the final debate of the 2016 presidential election.

If you are more into self-improvement than inebriation, feel free to substitute an exercise for a drink. For each of our debate "triggers" we will include a suggested exercise to replace taking a drink.

OK, here's how the game works.

Setup:

Obtain access to a sufficient amount of the spirits of your choice
Secure the number of shot glasses, or red solo cups, appropriate to your size group.

Rules:

Drink (or do 10 pushups) every time Hillary Clinton says one of the following words or phrases:

  • Temperament
  • Women
  • Russia
  • Putin
  • Middle class
  • Syria
  • Deport

Drink (or do 20 situps) every time Donald Trump says one of the following words or phrases:

  • Big league (Bigly)
  • Locker room talk
  • Scalia
  • Mexican
  • Wall
  • Benghazi
  • Emails

Drink (or do 20 jumping jacks) everytime one of the following happens:

  • Trump snorts
  • Clinton laughs
  • Either candidate interrupts the other

OK, if you follow all those rules you are certain to be in really bad shape — or really good shape if you did the exercise option —by the end of the night. All rules aside, remember to drink (and exercise) responsibility and to know how you're getting home before you start to imbibe.

May the best debate observer win!
